ALLOYED VISIONS: Innovative Alloys in Contemporary Jewellery and Object Design

As part of Barcelona Design Week 2026, Kostin’s Lab presents ALLOYED VISIONS, an exhibition exploring the role of innovative alloys in contemporary jewellery and object design. The exhibition will take place from 14 to 18 October 2026 at BUAT Gallery in Barcelona and will be part of OFF Enjoia’t 2026, the parallel programme organised by A-FAD.

ALLOYED VISIONS brings together five projects created in collaboration with designers Tatyana Kholodnova, Beatriz Biaggi, Emilio Narducci and Inna Cheskidova. The title refers both to the proprietary alloys developed by Kostin’s Lab and to the meeting of different artistic perspectives within a shared creative process. The laboratory contributes its materials, technologies and production expertise, while each designer brings an individual concept and approach to form, surface and sensory experience.

In Tatyana Kholodnova’s THE ILLUSION OF ANTIGRAVITY, PalladinGold™ 950 makes it possible to create lightweight spatial structures that appear to defy gravity. Beatriz Biaggi’s TOUCH explores the relationship between jewellery and the body through touch and movement. Emilio Narducci’s PRISON OF LIGHT and WAIHILAU address themes of love, light and natural energy, combining expressive forms with the technical capabilities of Purentum™ 960. In Inna Cheskidova’s research-based art project PARASITE, alloys give physical form to intrusive thoughts acting upon a white ceramic drop that represents the present moment.

The exhibition considers material not simply as a technical foundation, but as an active participant in the creative process. Its properties influence the structure, scale, tactility and meaning of each object. In this way, Kostin’s Lab’s technological research becomes a basis for artistic experimentation, enabling ideas that conventional production methods may not accommodate.
